Engineered Septic Systems

Need a septic solution for land that won’t support a conventional system? Engineered (or alternative) septic systems are designed for sites with poor soils, high water tables, limited space, or strict county requirements. These systems are custom-designed by a soil scientist and/or engineer and must be installed to exact North Carolina specifications. Our experienced team works directly from the approved plans to ensure your system is installed correctly, inspected, and built for long-term use.

When an Engineered Septic System is Required:

  • Clay or unsuitable soil conditions
  • High groundwater levels
  • Small or restricted lots
  • Repair areas where a conventional system will not fit
  • Properties near lakes, creeks, or environmentally sensitive areas

Types of Engineered Systems We Install:

✔  Low-Pressure Pipe (LPP)

✔  Pump to distribution system

✔  Drip irrigation septic system

✔  Sand filter system

✔  Advanced pretreatment

✔  Repair area engineered

Note: System type is based on your soil evaluation and county-approved design.

Our Engineered System Installation Process:

  1. Work from your soil scientist’s or engineer’s plan
  2. Coordinate with the county health department
  3. Precise system layout and grading
  4. Install tanks, pumps, controls, and distribution lines
  5. Set up dosing systems and electrical components
  6. Final inspection and system testing
