Filter Installation
A septic effluent filter helps protect your drain field by catching solids before they leave the septic tank. Effluent filters are typically installed at the outlet of the septic tank. They trap small particles that could otherwise flow into your drain lines and drain field. This added protection helps keep your system running smoothly and can prevent expensive repairs down the road.
What’s Included in Septic Filter Installation:
- Locate and uncover the septic tank lid(s)
- Check the outlet tee/baffle condition
- Install or replace the effluent filter (when compatible)
- Verify proper flow and secure fit
- Explain cleaning schedule and maintenance tips
- Optional filter cleaning during septic pumping (if needed)
Note: Not every tank is set up the same—some systems may need a specific outlet tee/baffle or compatible parts for a filter.
